JetBlue November traffic soars 11.7 percent

November traffic at JetBlue jumped 11.7 percent from a year ago, supplying more evidence of a sustained air travel recovery.
Passenger revenue per available seat mile rose 10 percent from a year ago, the carrier said. That's a closely watched measurement of pricing power, and the JetBlue number reflected the higher fares across the airline industry this year.
The November figures were released just a day after JetBlue said that holiday-season sales of high-priced tickets were falling short of expectations, and that fourth-quarter revenue per passenger wouldn't be as strong as the airline had previously thought.
