France: Air France improves conditions on domestic routes, with more space in the cabin

airplaneAir France has decided to incorporate more cabin space in its short-haul routes, phased improvement from 30 January with the introduction of a new seat on the configuration of the A319, A320 and A321 in the fleet the domestic market operates.

 

In a statement released by Europa Press, the airline said the new seat is lighter than a conventional one, makes more room for passengers and provides a higher degree of recline.

 

The new seat has been designed jointly by Air France and Recaro, which received the Innovation Award in the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, and has been configured with materials that respect the environment, with a reduction of 5,200 tonnes of CO2 per year .

 

In this respect, the marketing manager of Air France-KLM, Patrick Roux, said after the investment in the redevelopment undertaken in the long-haul European routes, with a new business class, the airline is investing in the domestic network.

 

Air France has renewed its class "voyageur" and "Premium", which will offer from April 1, but that markets beginning this month, with a 20% reduction in their tariffs, to adapt to the rise of the low - cost and the crisis in the sector, especially in business class, for which two alternatives offer a cheaper and another aimed at business travelers.
