SEATTLE, (PRNewswire/WorldTourismNews.eu) -- Windstar Cruises, which operates a three-ship fleet of luxury yachts that explore the hidden harbors and secluded coves of the world's most treasured destinations, was selected by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler magazine as one of 13 cruise lines on the publication's prestigious annual Gold List.

The Gold List is Conde Nast Traveler's compendium of the best hotels, resorts and cruise lines in the world, and is based on data collected from the magazine's annual Reader's Choice Survey. The readers of Conde Nast Traveler rated contenders in the cruise line category on a variety of criteria including itineraries, cabins, service, design, activities and shore excursions.

A full list of winners in every category can be found on the magazine's website www.cntraveler.com.  Winners are also featured in the January 2011 issue of Conde Nast Traveler on newsstands now.

Windstar's commitment to providing guests with the most casually elegant, enriching and luxurious cruise vacation has consistently placed Windstar on the esteemed Conde Nast Traveler Gold List year after year.

In addition to Conde Nast Traveler's honor, Windstar Cruises has been recognized by some of the most notable names in the travel and lifestyle world recently. Celebrated Living, American Airlines' prestigious publication for first class passengers, named Windstar Cruises "Best Small-Ship/Mid-Ship Cruise Line" on their Platinum List for the fourth time in a row.  Windstar was also selected by Travel + Leisure as one of the top five "World's Best Small-Ship Cruise Lines."  Earlier in the year, Windstar Cruises was also listed on Conde Nast Traveler's list of "Best Cruise Lines" and all three Windstar ships were honored by Conde Nast Traveler's "Best Small Ships" Reader's Poll.
