Airlines add fees for summer travel

Summer travel is heating up, and some airlines are already hiking fees. To get the best deal, prepare yourself for the oncoming surcharges and plan accordingly.

 

The surcharges have been added by some major airlines on peak travel days, which happen to fall on 73 of the 74 days of summer. July 4 is the exception, since it is one of the least busy travel days of the year. The fees range from $10-30 depending on the day of the week.
